My stay at Hotel Meriem Marrakech was mixed. While the location was convenient and the staff at the restaurant were lovely, I found the facilities lacking and the service at reception underwhelming. I experienced some discomfort due to room issues and the overall dated feel of the hotel.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite spacious with a large bed, but unfortunately, it felt outdated and a bit unclean. I had issues with plumbing, such as the shower leaking and inconsistent hot water access.
Service
5.0
The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, but the reception service left much to be desired. They seemed gossip-driven rather than focused on guest assistance, which was frustrating.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location was quite good, being relatively close to the attractions while still feeling safe. However, there was a lot of construction in the surrounding area, which made the approach somewhat inconvenient at times.
Dining
5.0
Dining offered a decent buffet spread, though the hot dishes were often served cold. The breakfast experience wasn't the best, with little variety available, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
I was really looking forward to the gym but found it to be very small and not well-maintained. Overall, the facilities felt a bit disorganized, detracting from the overall experience.

5.0/10

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Meriem Marrakech. The location was great, close to the train station and a walkable distance to the Medina. However, the breakfast was quite poor and the room I stayed in was less than ideal, with a shabby condition and cleanliness issues. On the bright side, the front desk staff were pleasant and did their best to assist me. Overall, it was a decent place to stay, but it could use some improvements.

Rooms

My room was in an annex and rather shabby, with cleanliness issues and an uncomfortable mattress. The shower curtain had mold, which was disappointing.

While the front desk staff were nice and professional, the overall service felt unhelpful at times. The dining staff seemed disinterested.
Location
7.0
The hotel is ideally located near the train station, making it convenient for exploring the area, though the construction noise was noticeable.
Dining

The hotel offers basic amenities, but it lacks options for dining and relaxation with shaded pool areas.

My stay at Hotel Meriem Marrakech was somewhat disappointing. While the location is ideal for exploring the city and the room I stayed in was spacious, the overall service and amenities left much to be desired. The staff were often unfriendly, and there were numerous issues that undermined my comfort during the visit.

Rooms

The room was spacious and clean, but it felt quite dated. The air conditioning worked well, which was a plus. However, some amenities were lacking, such as an unplugged fridge and bathroom issues like slow-draining sinks. Overall, it was just okay.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were mostly unhelpful and condescending, which made my experience less pleasant. I encountered issues with payment and service that were not handled well, although one waiter did stand out with his friendly demeanor. It felt like there was little regard for customer service.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near the Medina and main attractions, which made exploring Marrakech easy. It's in a relatively safe area, but finding the hotel was somewhat tricky. I appreciated being close enough to the action without being overwhelmed by it.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast left much to be desired with limited options, and overall the food quality was mediocre. I found the dining service to be lackluster and felt it would be better to explore local cafes instead. The dinner wasn't much better, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities included a pool and some amenities, but I encountered issues like poorly functioning lifts and limited room service. There were also several maintenance issues that made me feel less comfortable. Overall, the facilities felt underwhelming and in need of attention.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Meriem Marrakech during my stay. While I found the room to be neat and the location convenient for exploring the city, the service from the staff was a bit lackluster and I faced some frustrations with the hotel policies, especially regarding food and water.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious, kept clean, and had a nice big bed. However, I noticed a bit of dust around the bottom of the curtains and under the bed.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally nice but came across as serious and indifferent at times. I had to ask about meal times and other details, which was a bit frustrating.
Location
7.0
The location was pretty good, within walking distance to the center. However, the ongoing construction nearby made things a bit chaotic at times.
Dining
5.0
I found the dining options to be somewhat disappointing. The breakfast was okay, but I expected more variety for the star rating. I also had issues with their policy on bringing in water.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered necessary facilities, but I felt the extra charges for simple things like using a safe were a bit much. The overall amenities could use some enhancement.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Meriem Marrakech, thanks to its great location and spacious rooms. However, I felt the hotel could use some updates and the dining options weren't all that impressive. The Wi-Fi was spotty at times too, which was a bit frustrating. All in all, it’s a good choice if you're looking for convenience in Marrakesh.
